PROBLEM WITH MOUSE
Mouse has been called a painting device. And it is the most economical device of a system. In such a situation, repair it only when there is a slight error, otherwise replace it.
Mouse is not running.
Following are the problems in mouse:
First of all test the mouse by connecting it to another system, after it is fine, check the following things:
· Are all the driver files worth the mouse in the OS otherwise install the mouse by add new hardware?
· Has the mouse been detected in the OS?
· Whether the mouse port (com1/com2) cable is correctly connected to the motherboard. Isn’t it the opposite?
· Mouse is placed in the right port?
· Even if all the above conditions are OK, if the mouse is not working, then search in CMOS setup whether both communication port 1 and 2 have not been disable.
· While installing the OS, it has been installed in compact mode instead of typical or custom, due to which COM1 and COM2 or PS2 Port have not been installed, due to which mouse configure is not happening. Install them by add new hardware.
· Try replacing the cable of the mouse port.
· There are two types of pin connection of serial port.
1. Zigzag type
2. serial port
check the port structure of the motherboard and use the serial port cable accordingly.(even after mouse replacement) check the 12 volt in the blue color wire of the SMPS installed in the system, if it is not received, repair or replace the SMPS.
· If -12 volt is received from the blue wire, then check its connection to the motherboard, it may be from the motherboard connection is loose. -12 volt mouse is responsible for moving or not moving.
· Despite all the message taken so far, if the mouse does not work, then the serial port information on the motherboard will need to be removed from the CMOS setup.
Mouse pointer is moving up- down or only right left move is happening.
· This problem is from the mouse’s circuit and roller, the roller is jammed, try cleaning it.
· Even after the roller is fixed, the problem remains the same, so the sensor of the mouse is damaged. Replace it.
None of the mouse click buttons are working.
· If one of the buttons is not working, then replace it by removing it from another bad mouse.
· If any click button does not work, speed up the clicking speed inside the mouse in the control panel. If still not working, replace the mouse.
It is not working even after double click by mouse fast.
· Double click speed has been completely slowed down in the control panel. Make it fast.
· Rotating speed of the mouse is quite slow. No matter how much you rotate on the pad, the right selection is not being done.
· Increase pointer speed in control panel mouse setting.
· The ball in the mouse is greased. Replace mouse.
· There is dust in the shaft of both the rollers installed in the mouse, clean it.
· Do not use the mouse smooth surface.( use pad or any rough surface)
By rotating the mouse a little on the pad, the pointers start running fast. Pointer movement is unbalanced.
· Pointer speed is set very fast by the control panel. The mouse is sometimes it stops.
· Such an error is received when the cable between the mouse and the port is damaged or the port controller chip of the motherboard is damaged.
Problems in software installation:
When software is installed under
windows operating system, then many types of problems can also come in this
process like:
After some percent after installation start massage to insert a disk on the system is obtained.
· The reason for this massage is that the installer software is divided into several folders in the CD. These folders (directors) are named disk1, disk… when the software of disk1 is installed on hard disk, the system asks for disk2. On receipt of this message, wherever it is in disk2 or the requested folder installer CD, locate it by the path.
If win 3.11 is being installed then it is DOS based application because it works under 6.22 operating system. It is installed from DOS mode. All its installer files from disk1 to disk9 are divided into 9 folders and its installation is done by opening ‘disk1’ folder and typing setup.exe. disk2 is needed after the files are installed by disk1 but the path of disk2 cannot be located by CD win 3.11 if CD divided into many folders then create a directory in hard disk with all folders of win3.11 the file located inside should be copied to the same directory. In this way all the files will be copied inside the same directory. Now on starting the installation, separate disk will not be demanded.
· Setup in the installer folder of that software to install any windows based software. The exe is run. Each software installer contains a setup.exe file. Installer CD can contain many software which are saved different folders. And when they are browsed to install, the setup.exe itself is found. Which installation is started by double clicking.
· If the setup.exe file is not being received by opening the respective folder in the installer CD to install any software, but there are many directories named like disk1, disk2, then open disk1 and get setup.exe because the “setup” file is always located in disk1 if the installation is divided into multiple folders. Or it is not in any folder but in the root itself.
Installation
is stopping in the middle. But the system is not hanging.
(I am getting the message of non-availability of any file or error in it.)
· The installer CD from which the software is being installed has become old and scratched. CD drive is not able to read it.
· The CD lens has become dirty. Clean up.
The installation process is stopping midway and the system is hanging.
· Installer CD can be quite scratched.
· System hang can occur due to the defect of RAM, processor and motherboard.
· There may be boot sector virus in the system.
After the software is installed, it is not running. (illegal operation and many other message are coming)
· Software complete install has not been done.
· Not all files were available in the installer CD. Or the installer CD can be quite scratched.
· System does not have the appropriate setting and hardware for that software.
· Restart the system once and run the software. Many restart the system at the of software installation so that their information windows’ WIN.INI and system. You can study from INI.
· If there is any kind of interference in the middle of software installation, carefully read the message received on the screen, it can know the reason for the error.
· Some software will not be installed even if the hardware suitable for it is not available and gives information about it on the screen. If the system already has an operating system installed and we are upgrading it, then the version should also be taken care of in it. Like:
· Win 3.11 is installed, some versions of win95 will not be installed on it, that is, windows 3.11 cannot be upgraded by some version of 95.
Some win 95 OS will not install on blank hard disk they can only upgrade to win 3.11 or older win 95.
Always install the new and latest OS on the old OS do not try to install the old OS on top of the latest eg: win 97 on win 98, or win 97 on win 97 do not try to install this or so the installation will not start or the old OS will also crash.
